Where did the name “Argington” come from?
Pronounced “R – JING -TON”, Argington is a New York-based design and manufacturing company founded in 2003 by Jenny Argie and Andrew Thornton. The founders combined their last names (and aesthetics) to create ARGINGTON.

How do I check the status of my order?
You will receive two email notifications—when your order is placed and when it has shipped. If for some reason you have not received these notifications, please check your spam box. If it’s still not there, please contact info@argington.com and request order status.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express
Will I be charged sales tax?
Sales tax will only be applied to orders that are shipping to an address within the state of New York.
How long does it take for my order to ship?
Please allow 4-6 business days for processing and up to 5 business days for shipping.
How will my order ship?
All bedding orders ship via FedEx Ground. Furniture orders will ship either FedEx Ground or by one of our freight carriers.
How will I know when my order has shipped?
You will receive an email confirmation with the tracking the day your order ships.
How do I track my order?
In the shipping confirmation email you receive, you will be provided with either a tracking or pro number.
If it is a FedEx tracking number, please visit FedEx.com and you can track directly via their website. If a “pro” number is provided, this means that your order has shipped via freight. You may visit the respective freight carrier’s website and enter the pro number for tracking.
Do you offer Saturday delivery?
We do not offer Saturday delivery. Please contact us at info@argington.com for special shipping needs.
Is your furniture low VOC
Yes, all paints, glues, etc are low VOC and completely non toxic and free of lead, formaldehyde, heavy metals and the like. In some instances, immediately upon unpackaging an item, an odor can build up as it has been in an enclosed in the packaging. It can take a little while for any trace odors to subside, but it will go away.
Is there formaldehyde in your wood?
Argington is committed to 100% formaldehyde free emissions in all our wood products.
Formaldehyde is now considered a carcinogen, which is why the law requires to have 1% formaldehyde emissions. We are proud to have been and always will be 0% formaldehyde emissions.
Where can I go to see your products in person?
If you would like to see our products in person, please visit our store locator to find a retailer near you. All of our furniture retailers have our furniture on display; however, please call ahead to be sure they have the item you’re interested in seeing.
What is the best way to care for my furniture?
To clean your furniture, wipe with a damp cloth. Please do not use abrasives or solvents as this could damage the finish. We always recommend you assemble the product on carpet or on the product packaging to prevent scratching. You should also avoid putting any of our wood products in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
Do Argington products meet US safety standards?
Our furniture meets and/or exceeds all US, European, Canadian, and Australian safety standards. This includes all the recent updates via CPSIA effective June 28, 2011.
Is your furniture easy to assemble?
Yes, our furniture is very easy to assemble. Everything you need to assemble your furniture comes in the box—no additional tools needed.

Do your cribs come with the mattress?
The mattress is not included. We sell a standard size organic mattress that fits in all of our cribs.
How do I know what size mattress I need for my crib?
All of our cribs accommodate a standard size mattress (28″ x 52″ x 6″).
Do you recommend using teething rails with my crib?
Yes, we recommend that you purchase teething rails for your crib.
Does the Anywhere Changing Tray fit on top of the dressers?
Yes, our Anywhere Changing Tray fits snuggly and securely on top of our all our dressers allowing it to be used as a changing table.
Does your Anywhere Changing Tray come with a changing pad?
The changing pad is sold separately from the Anywhere Changing tray. We currently sell a fully organic changing pad directly on our site.
Does the changing pad come with a cover?
Our changing pad cover is sold separately from the changing pad.
Do you sell a mattress for the Ayres Twin Bed?
We currently sell a fully organic twin mattress directly on our site.
Can I use a standard size twin mattress with the Ayres trundle bed/drawer?
Our trundle bed/drawer is 39” (width) x 75” (length) x 12” (height) which can accommodate standard size twin mattress. However, please make sure that the thickness of trundle mattress doesn’t exceed 7 inches.
Is the ebony color black or dark brown?
Ebony is a very dark brown, but not solid black.
What is the material use for the BamBam Bassinet mattress pad?
It is a latex foam pad.
What is the weight limit for the Uffizi top bunk:
The weight limit for the upper bunk is 250 pounds. The CPSC recommends that the upper bunk should be used by children 6 and up.
Do you still have a Babylon High Chair?
We have discontinued the Babylon highchair.
