Argington and The American Cancer Society
March 20th, 2009 by andrew
Argington will be holding a raffle to benefit the American Cancer Society during BKLYN DESIGNS 2009.
Argington has created two limited edition furniture sets to serve infants to pre-teens. The infant/toddler set includes our Sahara Crib and Delphi Changing Table (retail value $3,000) and the child/pre-teen set includes our Uffizi Bunk Bed with Fuji Toy Box (retail value $4,600). Every part of these handcrafted one of a kind pieces is made in renewable and sustainable solid bamboo with a low VOC finish. Each are designed in the manner one has come to expect: highly functional, aesthetically innovative, and made responsibly.

These prizes will be on display during the BKLYN DESIGNS 2009 show at the Jane’s Carousel space at 56 Water Street. The raffle will begin the month prior to the Show and tickets can be purchased by contacting Argington directly ($10 for each ticket, $11 for credit card donations prior to the show). Ticket sales will continue during BKLYN DESIGNS 2009 at Argington’s exhibition booth in Jane’s Carousel space. The event will conclude with an announcement of the lucky winners on the final day of BKLYN DESIGNS 2009 at 3pm at Jane’s Carousel. The winner will also be announced here on our blog Monday morning at 10:00 am. (www.argington.com/blog)

Argington and The American Cancer Society share a conscientiousness in their desire to practice and promote sustainable practices in each of their fields. All gross proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society’s patient services and programs in the Brooklyn community, as well as its national research, education and advocacy initiatives. Argington is committed to using only biodegradable and renewable resources as building materials. Their designs are built to grow with the child, serving many phases of development, reducing the need for extraneous furniture production.
